Sadness and fears
red eyes from tears
being alone
no one around
a head full of memories
Every little sound
gives you the creeps
but you are a man
and Men do not cry
to say that is a lie
we have emotions
of course we care
when a friend is in trouble
we want to be there
not be seen as their saviour
just as their friend
Who needs to be there
to be there in the end
wants them to know
you mean everything, and
as for the disclaimers
You were their to defend
Their honour their soul
they mean’t the world to you
you would give up your life for them
thats what you’d do.

This piece captures so well the tension between how society expects men to act and the reality of human emotion. Tears don’t signal weakness—they show connection, empathy, and the courage to feel. I think more people need to read reminders like this that strength is found in caring openly, not hiding it.
