Where the brown trout and the sea trout
come to feed along the way.
where mountains gaze and touch the sky
every single day
the solitude and tranquillity
Nature at its best
the tall trees in the local woods
their energy, such zest
for life attracting plants
and wondrous cover everywhere
we amble on the banks
and take in the cool air
the legends how the faeries
came
their tales of spells and potencies
ancient as each day is long
the sheep the lambs
our hearts true song
,,
Mingle with the wildness
in the water yes we know
there be a marble palace
somewhere down below
dark woods bursting skywards
creeping wild souls they
spend their lives together
and with . the faery folk they play
the dry stone walls
true barriers
attracting moss and reed
Jason Cawood,
the corvidae
the solid silvery sheen
a name that brightens and reflects
where the magical
has been
Welsh Water from the reservoir
this wholly beautiful place
the air all share
and are aware
where many a wild soul chase
the story of the meadow of the bellringer
we read
and all these spells these wooded dells
where poets doth concede
magic from the mountains
from the waterfalls
the lakes
the ancientness that surely blessThe people
and it takes
a silent understanding
of our whereabouts and we
residents of Dolgellau and it s surroundings
honourably
Love this place we call home
