Known as the little people

The fourth and fifth centuries
Long long ago
Twas Irish folklore
That many still know
The Sidhe
Beings, the magical tribe
All supernatural
They primarily imbibe
The ways of the underworld
Fungi and flowers
Nectar and honey
Which gave them fine powers
Of Invisibility
Elfin endeavour
Then came the Leprechauns
Equally clever

They serviced the goddesses kingdom
I hear
Enjoyed woodland fungi
In fairy mounds
Cheer
And that’s how they prospered
Casting their spells
Underground fairy forts
And cool Crystal wells
