Snares

England still allows the use
Of traps and snares to catch
So so many animals and of course wild birds
Really I am lost for words
These contraptions
Archaic and cruel
Deception yes and sophistry
Such artfulness doth fuel
The duplicitous mind
Of anger
The wheeler dealer crowd
Swindling skulduggery
Why is it allowed

Wales has good sense to ban it all
Compassionate they be
Exactitude and realism
We need veracity
Disguising secret torture
Is underhand and wrong
In this truest humanity
This shit does not belong

It’s like a revelation
A safe wide world out there
Vast misinformation
Being more aware
The underhand are ready
Inexplicably
To let the melancholic
Divide and rule for free
