Chipperfields out with it
Listen the sounds
The cracking of whips
And the physical pain
No pain and no gain
It’s really insane
Those elephants suffering
Again and again

Excruciating, agony they
Racking and stabbing
Martyrs some say
Bashing their toenails
Profusely they bleed
Throbbing and tender
That was the need

When not being tortured
Chained up some more
In so much distress
Pinching and sore
Boredom and more pain
Chained up and left
Really tormented
And just bereft

Of movement,
Such sensitive souls
Perceptive and aware
Nerves were exposed
Keepers didn’t care
Nobody worried
No one at all
Terrible husbandry
A ghoulish call

Link tails whip cracking
3 nights a week
No food and no water
Bull hooks such pique
Discordant harshness
Imbecility
Denseness and oafishness
Idiocy
At trying to force them to do
tricks
Without torture and clamour
And well and all those thick sticks

Cruelty daily no food or rest
Making them suffer
Yes they detest
Getting the bullhooks stuck in their flank
Behind the ears
It really is rank
Persistent torture
Frighteners do
Get them to do what you are wanting them
To do
They have long memories
And they know who cares
Who hurts them who shouts at them
And one who dares

Circus is pointless
It’s an ordeal
Totally negative
Tragically real
Dissassociation
Emphatic denials
All of these torturers
Should sit on trials

A massive wild creature
Needs torture to be
Made to act stupid
You have to agree
Circus is abyssmal
For audience who
Pay good money for torture
It’s all very true.
