A wintry scene

An icy cold start
Where the frost does impart
A cutting creative display
Of tragic proportions
The forest bleached white
Wild animals scuttling out of the light
Imagine their predicament
Caught in the cross hairs
The violence the streaming of night
A vast and aggrieved kind of fierceness
That comes with the earliest light
