Daffodils emerging

Asphodel

hear them yell

A truly feminine

Venutian soul

element water

fertility strength

They now go to any length

They dance  and sound  their trumpets

impassioned, by the light from high

bold as  brass

So so outspoken

the  candour of  the painted sky

sunlit branches

glowing pigments

miniature daffs too hit the scene

they laid low

in frozen  soil

but have kicked their heels

and begun to grow.

Such vibrancy

duffy down dilly

the daffodil

it seeks and finds

the musical repose on offer

as February now unwinds.
