Memories of a friend I met

Planting in my garden space

Curiosity may have hurt the cat

But now in my face

a tiny handsome fellow

a Robin to be sure

after some seeds or a little worm

he knew where there were more

he was a bit fidgety

hoping  I might  go

But flew into my hand  he did

and sat there all aglow

I thought one in a million

chances

roses all the way

a real exhilaration

this Robin made my day

an artist saw the whole thing

and with manuscript and with care

sat and created this picture
Although he wasn’t there.
