Tears

Tears amongst the hay
The last straw so to say
They stole her calf away
On what was the saddest day

On dairy farms we see
The calves unfortunately
Unwanted tossed away
Slaughtered so to say

The milk is what is used
So the babies are abused
Hearts are very small
And this has become the rule

Kidnap babies taken
Mothers pine and cry
It really is a frantic time
With mothers asking why

It is its double crossing
Its wavering and wrong
Afterall her baby
Of course it does belong

With her and her nutrition
And seeing it led away
To the slaughterhouse
Is awful and you can hear how it does play

The mother whines her heart out
Its uncanny how she cries
It has happened all before
And she knows that her baby dies

Full on lamentation
Teardrops everywhere
The dairy is an ugly place
And nothing there is fair

When I was a child myself
Dairies painted white
You kind of imagined a beautiful place
But what goes on out of sight

Is anything but beautiful
Its rape and torture and pain
Kidnap heartache agony
Its just totally insane
