Callum

Callum, Pencil behind his ear
A carpenter who cares
His work bench Underneath the Cherry
Their combined aura swears
An exactitude of feeling
An energy, a force
Planed white wood
From A previous life
No one has misunderstood
The concept of the sawdust
On the pewter driven bough
Where hard sawing tests the muscle
A tutalage for how
Unconsciously that energy
Creating as he does
An affirming dictum
An expressing, perhaps a buzz
That accentuates the craft He holds
The wood cut down
Planed up and square
The inanimate’s cycle of new life
Where in we begin to see
The woodsman in life’s bold expression
Underneath a living tree
Creating his expression
Formative and bold
A living shelf
Developing another chance To
Hold
Sway
The hands of one who cares
Of wood possessing charm
And it came to force
On an autumn morn
When a poets eye
Delved into the dawn
Depicting this wild image
And shared it with those who
Know of Lyall Watson a sage of old
And todays Story is true
