Cattle farmers and their ignorance

Mother Nature has her bag of secrets
And in it mutualists are often found
The problem is that human beings
Are ridiculously ignorant
They only think of themselves
Which just may sound
Arrogant of me to even suggest this
But take the cattle market
The meat trade
Nothing matters they steam full ahead
And make their profit
And cut through Natures magickal parade

The Agave cactus cries out for pollination
And, the long nosed BAT Apparently
Lives in caves in colonies and loves the sweetest nectar
Its elongate tongue and muzzle
Helps it free
All that lovely sweetness
The century plant where Tequilla is obtained
they distill the juice
And make the famous spirits
This is why the mutualists have gained

A high regard for being part of Nature
As the bats feed pollen grains adhere
To Their fur like bodies making fertilisation
Not only possible but bringing cheer
For 10000 years they have been manufacturing
Pulque Mezcal Jalisco and the rest
Do you think you will miss your margarita’s
Its all down to the Bat
Who is the best

The problem is the cattle boys are ignorant
I have always thought that everywhere they go
Meet the MEAT trade everything they do is arrogance
conservation they know nothing all they know is how to moan
Always after subsidies everywhere they have shown
Contempt for other beings animal and man
And thinking the bats were vampires
So these fools began

To go into the caves and spray their pesticides
About
Reading too many horror films
Their brains are at a drought
Stage I am very sorry, that is what they do
Kill off what they think is bad for them
And without a clue

Kill off many long nosed bats
Nectar swilling souls
They don’t want the meat trades blood
Mutualists have goals
In a sense they are macrobiotic
As created, so they be
And killing colonies in the caves
Its crucial you can see

Agave flowers few friends around
Murdered as they sleep
By the arrogant ignorant farmers
of course they make me weep
As ignorant as the day is long
Agave sadly might
Lose out altogether
And die in the sunlight

Then what about tequila
The Mexicans for they
the pulque and the Mezcal
Its what they do all day
Its traditional and constant
A culture of the brave
Distillation magic
Will my poem save

Their bacon we must wait and see
Cattle at a cost
Not only carbon at a high
But methane too is lost
Water usage terrible
Land where cattle be
Could be used to plant more food
For humans then we would see

How much Better in the long run
Instead it looks to me
As if cattle men are the culprits
And will have to be
bloody well eliminated
Otherwise of course
If bats all die
Agave will die too and thats no lie

Long nosed bats they pollinate
All kinds of other plants
Eaten by moths and lizards
And when songbirds get a chance
Field mice too may fade away
Their secret foods eliminated
Mother Nature’s bag of secrets
Seemingly understated
