Alban Elfed “the light of the water”

Today you join our circle
With rich harvests on our mind
Thanking our great mother
For the Abundance that we find
We have watched as she has nurtured
The grains and the greening scene
And now we reach a period
Of reaping what there has been

The fruits the nuts the berries
The pumpkins and squashes they
The power of the sun is waning
As The great light fades away
And darkness becomes longer
Than the daylight from today
The wheel of time is turning
For that dear’s is the way

The first full moon is the harvest moon
And From this time on we shall see
The deciduous trees all dropping their leaves
And birds will migrate and be
Sunning themselves in warmer climes
Till the great wheel turns and we
Meet again at samhain then at yule
And hopefully

The winter isnt too cold
And all of you will see
The sheep a lambing once again
At imbolc in febuary
Where we shall convene at clearwell caves
In the forest of dean we shall be

So a spot of hibernation
For all of us where we
Eat some hesrty soups and stews
And casseroles and be
Warm beside our roaring fires
Ready for the spring
And brexit around the corner
With the excitement that that will
Bring.
