Only 12 billion litres

12 billion litres of potable water
Thats all thats needed for a years worth of coal
In a place where the water is scarce
And the farmers appreciate water
For it is their soul
Adani the Indian conglommerate business
From gujarat they are building a mine
Australia cant wait to ruin the countryside
GOvernment screwballs think its divine
The Barrier Reef needs the contamination
The farming community they need it too
If it all goes ahead it will be the worlds biggest
Just proving the government don’t have a clue

The promise of jobs the same hot potato
Water though surely must be a real pain
Its a filthy industry that is for certain
But the government reckon that they can all gain
The beautiful landscape the environments wonder
Can all be stripped out leaving slag heaps galore
The air and the wild life who cares about wildlife
Where there’s profits for shareholders and more and more
So Adani comes forth with its expertise glowing
India clearly is taking a bow
Stopping this giant this ugly polluter
AUstralians really are now asking how

These fossil fuels really are extremely dirty
AUstralia will find out later than most
The bush will be buggered the people enraged
And under the hot sun, it will feel like toast
Too many lunatics now run the government
Clearly oblivious to history
To the negative aspect of carbon dioxide
To the sooty conditions and the purgatory
That follows as soon as the slag heaps grow higher
Accidents happen and water is less
As soon as the methane makes breathing much harder
Thats when the shit hits the fan and the stress

Rises all over this beautiful continent
