One day in Vienna

A cellist in a public square
A black bow tie
Just a few souls there

A pot upon the pavement and
A child comes up
cash in her hand

Put some money in his pot
And he starts to play
And then a lot

of people come
And stand around
Listening to the lovely sound

Then different people violins
A bassoon a viola
and doublechins

Are twanging away
and before we know
30 or 40 are part of the show

More and more people come to see
With An Expectation now there be

Clearly wanting a happy event
And getting it free
it was all well meant

Beautiful music lifted away
Brightened the street scene
On that day

All sorts of people came around
To listen to the delightful sound

A choir as well such a display
And all for free on this Saturday

Young and old sat and stood
One climbed up a lamp post
So he could

Get a better view of the orchestra
And the lovely music that sailed afar

Its known as a flash mob
I understand
And everyone there thought it
sounded grand
