An appeal from the dolphins

We feel so threatened these days
Our existence is at stake
We have reached a realization
That does really and honestly make
For very difficult reading
For try now as we do
The philosophy of our existence
We wonder if its true

It now is undeniable
For where we live to say
That mankind doesnt feel kind
Hardly in any way
Pollution of the oceans
Its scandalous out there
Fishing gear and plastics
And by-catch everywhere

Your methods of fishing
Are crippling to us all
The long lines and the seine nets
This carnage should appal
So many species wiped out
Despite quotas in place
Shrimp farming and fish farming
Its all such a disgrace

And its well documented
Just how bad it be
And JAPAN NORWAY and ICELAND
And the FAROES how they be
Able to actually sleep at night
Doing what they do
And China Vietnam and other places too

The drive fishing in TAIJI
We are suffering so
Whole family pods are being butchered
As you clearly know
Driving pithing agony
And selection for captivity
Thats slow death and torture
Which you profit from you be
Stealing from the worlds resource
Exerting your countrol
JAPAN Not just TAIJI but other places
That lack soul

We are suffering and dying
And despite cove guardians who
Are trying to help us are trying hard
There is not much they can do
These fishermen are evil
Money grabbing freaks
We have no love or respect for them
Their cabals and their cliques

Striped and risso’s are dying
And bottlenose are too
To watch ones family slaughtered
We all know what they do
Our ability to feel is heightened
Within, our minds eye
Our echo location mechanism
Is very very high

We are very very sensitive
And with emotions running high
Its in our nature to not escape
When our parents or family lie
In mortal danger in these pens
Or inside these vile nets
Where The frogmen and those with pikes
Are subject to karmic debts

Where clearly the mindless profiteers
With, no thought for us
No empathy for our little calves
Of course we kick a fuss
We are passionate and loving
We really and honestly care
More so than those fishermen
Who just bring us despair

They have a sort of hollowness
Its ugly to perceive
Not a sliver of compassion
Who really dares believe
That so called human beings
Could really be so thick
That their blood is clearly acidic
And that they are truly sick

Overall fhe human being
Has very little care
Fishermen just dump their gear
Every sodding where
All of us are eating plastic
Oil based evil mess
Thats killing life like crazy
And we have little redress

Mercury and cadmium
And PFOS Those three
But corexit that oil based cleaner
And your DDT
Roundup now in farm spills
And pesticides galore
Radiation from FUKUSHIMA
Its an All out war

We feel so threatened these days
Captivity it kills
SEA WORLD AND THE OTHERS
Our blood and soul urge spills
These dirty filthy man made tanks
Supposedly the same
Facilities as our ocean homes
My goddess where’s the blame

Tiny no depth to speak of
No life force none at all
Having to live on dead food
From buckets off the wall
No plant life nothing living
But bacteria and pain
And sunburn and infections
The whole thing is insane

Cruelty personified for profit
And all the lies
Poor tilikum at 30 odd years
Met with his demise
Stolen from his mother
And abused yes every day
No wonder he killed a trainer
Who shouldn’ have been there anyway

The arrogance of the captors
The ignorance of those who
Pay to see a giant in a bath tub
And believe its true
All the crap they tell the crowds
About longevity
And emotional feelings
When they are stolen from the sea

JApan is killing over 20,000 of us
Each year
Taiji a count for 2000 or so
The rest all swim in fear
Killed snd that is just japan
Other countries too
Are killing whales and dolphins
For that is what they do

And we love life like you do
We love to be alive
We dont want to be slaughtered
We wish to survive
To see our family slaughtered
To hear their deep down cries
To know the blood we swim in
Is our blood which they disguise
Under the tarps so threatening
The expletives are loud and clear
Of course we try to struggle
We all die in such fear

Watching the blood drain from us
That rotten pithing tool
It doesnt hurt they tell you
Well only a bloody fool
Would imagine shoving a metal spike
Deep inside our spine
And wiggling and using a peg
Or stopper remeber we swim in brine
The pain is excruciating
And less blood hits the sea
So we die drowning in our blood
Yes folks internally

With our mothers with our lovers
With our children often too
All of us are best friends
All of us care its true
We never leave our family
Unlike the human kind
The bitter ugly disturbed bunch
Of fiends that must be blind

They are apparent robots
Its just monotony
They are sort of on their treadmill
In adversity
Regimented morons
Undeviating from
Characterless and featureless
Lacking true aplomb

Thats what we are up against
Us angels of the sea
We save our own kind and your kind
If in difficulty
Our brains are bigger weight for weight
And we think and ofcourse we care
We believe in equality
For we all breathe the same air

Our name comes from Delphinidae
Fish with a womb the greeks did say
Some 10 million years aquatic
And before that walked the land
As ungulates instinctively
Our ancestral route
Our memory really is key
And we are astute

We think we ponder long and hard
In 10 years where will we be
All dead and we realise now
Its a possiblity
The way you humans treat the ocean
Its your dustbin where
You just dump what you do not want
Which is of course unfair

We breathe through our blowholes
Voluntary breathers are we
And sometimes when we swim around
We think now we could be
Diving to the bottom
Or beaching on the sand
This world itwas once our paradise
But now its out of hand

Oil slicks streams of sewerage
Radiations rife
Much of that will be around
Niw Forever all that strife
For ever strontium 90
And plutonium as well
No wonder its named after
The bloody god from Hell

Seismic blasts oil exploration
The navy’s sonic booms
Exercises in the sea explosions
And more tombs
Created for us all
We live where its happening
Where the bombs do fall

We are more than frightened
As to future trends
And we do feel so threatened
Losing so many friends
Taiji we detest that place
Fhe faroe islands too
They turn the sea to crimson
From its beautiful aqua blue

Protectors march in towns and cities
That much we do hear
Poetry and songsters
We know it all is clear
There are a growing number
Of angels around the world
Fighting for us crying for us
When we have been hurled

Into pens and aquaria
In deserts far away
To live in chlorinated bath tubs
Unril infact they slay
Us kill our inner spirit
And we decide to go
Its happening all around the globe
We are giving up you know

Its better to be dead than in this constant
Slavery
Guinea pigs all being fed with big pharma infamy
Toxic imbalancing chemicals which sicken us more each day
And often slimy stinking fish in the last dregs of decay
One more time we appeal to you
Try to get TAIJI
To stop this vile drive fishing
And just let us swim free
Try to get the Jaoanese to stop the whaling for they
Are not researching anything they are liars all the way
Try to stop the Faroes butchering the pilot whales
And realise if you cant do this
Then all our holy grails
Will Not help them
We shall Start besching snd dying in those pools
For we are at the crossroads
Our existence dependent on fools
