Toxic wastelands the future for our children

Our green and pleasant land
Worth fighting over
Our fathers and our grandfathers
Were there

Digging with their bare hands
In the fertile earth
Planting crops that everyone
Could share

And now its being bull dozed
The drills and pads are coming
Tearing through the earth the flint the clay
Into the shale
To where the so called natural gas may be
The park land where we played
All our hopes and wishes they derail

For now it all is designated fracking land
Tainted air is all that we shall get
Going forward Toxics in the aquifers
Thats the new scenario they have set

Slaves will be brought in to to the dirty work
Security brought in to make us see
Everything they ruin in our neighbourhood
In the end is good for you and me

Where once our wood was green and filled with wild folk
We shall see great lakes of toxic stew
Barren land will occupy our only dreams
We will be taught to enjoy the fracking view

A list as long as so many arms is being used
Chemicals with unpronounceable names
Vast amounts of water will be wasted
And we are to believe now all their claims

Its wrong at every level but few are listening
Reality shows de population gains
Credence in The sick minds of the under dogs
We are only numbers better off in chains

When we start to protest we are terrorists
Any reason to get us off their backs
They can come and ruin our existence
And we must knuckle down and face the facts

The government are themselves, only puppets
Getting orders from the ruling group
And reigning down their orders to us minions
Who live an die in the great toxic soup

All this may sound overly dramatic
But I believe there is logic to my rhyme
We will see the green fields of old England
Transformed into a hell on earth this time

You are basically our slaves now
You do what we say
If you are sick from the carcinogens
You can always move away

And if you choose to stay here
And theres damage to your land
What you must remember
And completely understand

Is its your loss
Its your price to pay
For our collective aid
Everything belongs to us
Thats our stock in trade

This is a gory story
The tories and their kings
Say If the fracking kills you
Thats when you get your wings

Your names go on the marble rock
To be remembered by
The future slaves as they are born
So in their lives they apply

The same indoctrination
And all done with a smile
Toxic wastelands earthquakes
And terrorists on trial
