As the dark clouds envelop
Our being
In this the UK we
Are hearing in the ether
That Tilikum may see
A way out of his torpor
Out of his Sea World pain
And The supposed care second to none
That is happening again
To the customers who believe them
Who support their lofty claims
Who try to imagine that Face book
Will acknowledge all those gains
And an Orca at its end game
On its captive day
Away from the bounteous and living
Ocean world and of course cold spray
Tilikum is fading fast
Like the Winter Sun
Going soon to the rainbow bridge
When his day is done
Lets lay our heads down gently
And in the darkness say
Tonight before we go to sleep
If you are borne away
If your sweet heart stops beating
If your lungs fail and you
Sink into the wretched tank
That Sea World made for you
We all know what has happened
Our love collectively
We pass on in the ether
And wish you earnestly
Some rest and no more party tricks
No more buckets of dead slime
You will meet up with your lost family
And be together for all time
A simple prayer from all of us fighting for your release
And for the release of all caged and tanked earthlings

These poems are so empathetic that they touch the deepest part of me. Tilikum’s time on earth is rapidly coming to a close; let’s hope and pray his story will gain the freedom for the other captive orcas and all the sea creatures enslaved at SeaWorld.
Thank you, sir, for all your eloquence at this intensely sad time. You have put into words what I have felt in my heart for so long.
