Dying to get away

Tilikum’s been dying
Ever since his kidnap date
A bacterial infection
Its about opening the gate
Letting this amazing mammal
Whose actuality
Has always been so positive
His potentiality
Was vast out in the ocean
When SEA WORLD’s Rotters came
Bandits lacking consciousness
Not prepared to take the blame
For slaughtering some babies
And capturing this soul
Eternity had been waiting
Till this lot took control

Nirvana was his everything
The pod his family tree
And they came along and ruined
Everything he had, the sea
Gave up his wondrous body
They took his freedom away
And forced him into a concrete tank
Of chlorine and dismay
Dosed him up with chemicals
PROZAC and the rest
Antibiotics to keep him going
The cash cow to invest

In him their new found sperm bank
Which they had to ensure
They forced him to give up all his sperm
And his cries they did ignore
And now after all this time
In a rank tank he believes
Now is the time to end it
Because nothing now achieves
Freedom to a sea pen
They want to keep him, they
Want him doing silly tricks
Until his dying day

Which shouldn’t be that long now
for Tilikum has said
He would rather forgo the breath of life
He would rather now be dead
They wouldn’t let him go back to the ocean
So it appears
He will die, they will lie and we shall
All be in tears

He may have been implicated
In the deaths of trainers who
Knew nothing about his demeanour
As we know it is true
Tilikum was frustrated
Tilikum was sad
His poor old heart had been broken
They had driven him mad

His relationship with his family
Was glorious and strong
A bond to last forever
Until it all went wrong
They bombed and then went after
Babies and females
SEA WORLd hurled their anger
One of the sickest tales

Now Tilikum has been forced to live
In a bathtub all these years
Fed on dead and slimy fish
They failed to see his tears
Failed him pretty miserably
It was profit from him they
Wanted and he gave them
And now its judgement day

TIlikum is dying
He is going to fade away
His spirit will leave Sea world
Who we all hope will decay
Crumble into their bloody tanks
The whole board let them go
They have stolen so many Orca lives
As we protestors know

Tilikum is being treated
With chemicals galore
But what he needs is freedom
And love for evermore
Instead its banged up all his life
For a sin that they committed
And he amazingly intelligent
For all of them he outwitted

He will not make the sea pen
The rank tank is his base
His heart was broken long ago
Just look into his face
Look into his massive eyes
And honestly what do you see
A soul lamenting day and night
In a lasting elegy

Listen you will hear him
Crying from his heart
The Sea World board are ruthless
They have been from the start
Look at his fin he has broken down
Many moons ago
He is a weeping and wailing warrior
Who doesn’t want to know

Lets pray for him
Lets hold him in our hearts
For evermore
We tried and it was denied
They broke every law
Banged him up and left him
To the mercy of the bank
Who put him in a concrete hole
Until he bloody well sank

And this is now whats happening
Bacteria has kicked in
His lungs are full of infection
Now he cannot win
He wants to go home back where
He came from long ago
Back into the ocean
Not part of some show

He is heavy it is dreary
The banality of it all
He is ponderous and sluggish
On a treadmill as a rule
Uninspired the repetition
Wearisome and flat
He has to now give up the ghost
For that is where he is at

We are all very sorry we couldn’t gain your release
You were captured by the bastards who never had a change of heart selfish corporate evil thats all they are and they will never change
