The Haycock Hotel

The hotel from Hell
For the foxes who knew
Despite laws in England
The great hunter screw

Was turned on its head
Over Christmas, I hear
When a fox bit the dust
Because of hunters, its clear

To host such an event
Is a great karmic cost
And clearly indulging as such
Might have lost

Business!

for me I have travelled
World wide
And I wouldn’t darken the doors
Be inside

Not into this scenario
Where a wild soul was killed
Where Boxing Day hunting
Finally spilled

The blood of my wild friends
Who did nothing wrong
Except live where they were put
Part of the great throng

For me this hotel
Is now out of bounds
But for you you may welcome
The hunt and its hounds
