Mercy for animals
We have to try
To give them compassion
And never deny

Them grace and affection
We shall condole
Indulge them
And gently
Just massage their soul

Its often the case
In a pitiless place
A hardness is felt
When they are dealt
An intolerant period
Thats when we must
Be gentle and thoughtful
Give them a thrust

Of the heart beat
And The glowing refrain
And the care
And say to them sweetly
Its good you are there

Mercy for animals
Quietly they show
What has been going on
Perhaps we did know
But their films express
So much sadness about
And in essence they,leave us
In so little doubt
