Cluster bombs

Humans sink below horizons
Helplessly they fall
Filthy minded ignorants
Imagining they call

Out to those who drop them
These awful cluster bombs
Whose bomblet’s scatter far and wide
Where nobody can truthfully hide

Some drop and they so explode
Somehow bursting through the code
Of humanity whose standing by
To watch the children’s bodies fly

Some fall on our land so green
Unexploded the machine
Lies their quietly really wild
Waiting to destroy your child

Blair and Hoon used in Iraq
And there was no coming back
Dehumanising everyone
Even those who tried to run

We all are equal flesh and bone
At night in war time so alone
We hear the explosions we feel them too
Truly we don’t know what to do

Imagine a child out in the street
The bomblet’s hiding Near their feet
Blown away by the dynamite
That takes them to a glowing height

War time the deaths of human kind
The terrible aftermath left behind
Us we can feel the pain and woe
We love and we care and we want to go
Now we are crippled broken and torn
And we just wish we had not been born
