I see the world from upside down
And that is probably true
Born in a caged area
Close to folks like you
Its not what I had dreamed of
Within a pride of souls
Out there in the wilderness
With no two leg patrols
I see the world as less than wild
But far more dangerous now
Its just all closing in on us
Reality tells me how
The future is kind of going
I smell the human smell
I hear the human voices
Its feeling more like hell
No wild live food to taste alas
Its all dead food we get
It has the smell of human hands
Our lives somehow seem set
No mother here to guide me
None of her wondrous fire
What is there to look forward to
The future it is dire
I see the world is upside down
My nerves are shot away
I will grow up to be humanised
And then of course will pay
So some rich bloody dentist
Or some german can come by
And pay his bloody ransom
So i then have to die
I will end up on some dusty wall
Many Miles away
Staring with my new glass eyes
Watching my head decay
You always bring me to tears with your incredible poetry ~ tender ~ yet so very powerful and heart wrenching ~ thank you, my dear friend, for loving our majestic Lions as much as I do !
How can we not love them they are so regent in their birthright and we treat them with the contempt they do not deserve.
They are wonderful animals they are AFRICA these foreign hunters with their vast stores of money and their tiny hearts and souls should be made to stay away ban them forever but the corruption is tantamount to An epidemic
I will fight them until I have no breath left x
Thank you for your well chosen and beautiful words my dear friend Shesh x
