Its perception not reality
As to why a swan should be
Trusting when its injured
Its alas humanity
Who feels that maybe
wild souls
Wouldn’t have the base
Capacity
to share this
Healing interlude with him
With you with me
There are so many cases
Thousands now out there
Elephants wolves whales
And turtles
Who are clearly aware

I believe its man who
Perhaps has lost that awareness
And he
Is mesmerised by the response
And what we have to see
Is each of us is an earthling
We all live in this world
And when we come to harm
When we have been hurled
Into a difficult moment
Someone may be there
It might be a human being
But if we are tuned in
Then the care
Might be from an elephant
Or a swan who will
Just be there

And it can happen as this story happened
The other way around
A wild swan has been injured
And is lying on the ground
And we attempt to help her
She may perceive that too
And lie there feeling happy
As earthlings are prone to do
