Denmark and the Faroe islanders

It happened today in a place faraway
From here but the resounding force
Of one hundred and fifty beautiful whales
Driven and slaughtered of course
The grind as its called in the Faroes
Supported by Denmark who chose
To sail up there with their big frigate
Making their stand I suppose

The whales a huge pod just imagine
Whole generations of soul
Mentors and mothers and sisters and brothers
Who lost every bit of control
The suffering there and the anguish
Of watching your whole family die
Being their literally helpless
Feeling every emotion and why

Why do these so called human beings
Dredge up such squalor and pain
Why go and cause this destruction
What has gone wrong with their brain
Clearly they have lost their emotion
Their empathy it is no more
As for compassion its gone out of fashion
From creation they cause blood and gore

Todays vile ordeal so distasteful
The screams that did frighten us all
We felt their pain again and again
We heard their pitiful call
THis morning such happiness took them
Through waves of emotion till they
Came through it all to the abyss of woe
And there clearly so had to pay

Their wretchedness it was apparent
Their uneasiness too we could feel
Each took on the burden of saviour
But the dark throngs of evil were real
They writhed in the salt in the soreness
Wounded and laden with grief
Wild eyed and weary and excessively teary
This debacle was beyond belief

150 bold warrior souls cut into ribbons
By those
By just anybody who had volunteered
To enter this melee and pose
Such vindictive violent discordance
An affront to all living today
Slicing through flesh removing our heads
In what became thick crimson spray

Lamenting each of us lamenting
The remorse well of course it is there
It wells in our spirit its their in our veins
Its thick and its so much despair
For us and for all of the whales in the world
That have been placed critically
We were not hurled
into some maelstrom
We were put safely where
It was thought appropriate
With many to care

In the ocean there is exhilaration
Vitality laughter and joy
Blithe spirits are what we are after
With all sorts of games we employ
Our radiance and understanding
Resilient and buoyant all day
Frivolous really and sportive and frolicsome
These qualities on us they Lay

But clearly today was a solemn affair
Whole generations of our family there
One after another we heard the death cries
And saw our loved ones struck before our eyes
We all go to our maker in the most melting mood
Wet eyed and doleful from us did exude
Everything we have inside us for we
Are sentient honestly we have to be

Our charm our appeal and our beauty we share
We learn and we teach just every soul there
To slaughter us all in such a terrible way
And to leave us red eyed in all that bloody spray
Is an atrocious indictment of who humans are
And how low they have sunk and why they scar
Life and creation so blatantly they
Ruin the equilibrium and we all pay

Ungraceful they stand there like pillars of salt
Ghastly and grisly as if they were caught
In the soft sands of time disfigured and dire
Misbegotten and ghastly
Aware of the fire,
the complete impropriety
That they displayed
so bloody undignified their stock in trade

Never heroic faint hearts we feel
Lacking true courage nothings for real
Its a lopsided battle scene played out so fast
And we are the victims our die is cast
A blood bath for the depraved
A nauseous event
If we only attacked them
If we were well meant
Perhaps we could fight off these detestable creeps
But we are not made like that
Our ego sleeps

Our anger isn’t aimed at those who
Bring death and destruction down on us , a clue
As to why we are like we are could be down to
Being just more enlightened than many of you
There are very few prophets down on the sand
Hardly any angels they don’t understand
Not one visionary just numbed down fools who
Follow the program thats what they do

Islander people stuck in their ways
Retarded by lack of awareness no praise
Will come to their shoreline just satanic crud
And sinew and adrenaline mixed in our blood
In a land where the animal brothels exist
Paid sex with animals they still insist
This is our culture this is our way
Who are you really to question what we say

This is a culture that kills its wild souls
In its zoos to feed felines
These sick controls
Those warped ideas are not generally
Seen as the right path and that is the key
Area really where Danes and the rest
Do seem at odds and its going to test
Our powers and connection because clearly we
Are not going to stand by an nonchalantly be

Quiet on these issues for animals do
Have rights in this world we share
The same rights as you

We are their voices we are their eyes
We fight their corner you realise
What you are doing is not seen by all
To be of this day and age and so heed our call
Is straight to the point you must cease this idea
Of slaughtering pilot whales from around here
Your methods are brutal nightmarish in fact
So it should be no wonder how we now react
