Murder in the bush

A total lack of conscience
And unscrupulousness too
A father with his son out in the outback
Killing Roo
A mother lies spreadeagled
Her joey torn from inside
Such baseness such dishonour
All it’s innocence denied

Squashed in half by the hunters boot
Such criminality
“Better switch your camera off”
Such vile rascality
He himself knows evil
His worthlessness he reveals
So unprincipled
So immoral so insidious
He feels

the treachery
Above all else
And yet he carries on
The butchery of the mother
A self indulgent john
I really cannot bring myself
To imagine how she felt
As that bastard of a human
Over her just knelt

And tore her little baby
Out of her pouch and killed
Ground it’s body in the dust
Till all it’s blood was spilled
Then dragged her wounded body
Away, that mental strife
Wondering how quickly
Her baby lost it’s life

Realising she was leaving
This world too as he
Butchered her such wickedness and
Amorality
Minutes earlier she had been
Romping through the trees
Blameless guiltless Undefiled
With sweet consummate ease

Thinking of her baby
Protecting him with hope
And then in that one moment
Down the slippery slope
Of life and her expectancy
The hunter did his thing
Pulled the loathsome trigger
And the delinquent King

Was onto her manhandling her
This outrage for a man
With his little son beside him
Trying to be his fan
The creation of a psychopath
From a simple lad who saw
His father reach into the abyss
And just break every law

Kill a tiny baby
An offering of the gods
Gentle totally innocent
He had heard about those sods
Who do this kind of devilment
And now witnessed his dad
Filling the form of the monster
Such a conflict he then had

It was reprehensible and unforgivable
And he
Screamed out NO! but it was all over
Caught in the act he be
Unpardonable behaviour
Abandoning virtue
All morals gone forever
With such awful villainy

And it’s happening all over
Australia today
Men turned bloody psychopaths
Are making the wild life pay
Unregretting unrecanting
This is what they do
They do not have excuses
Or regrets alas it’s true

Where are their wives
For goodness sake
And the apology
It’s all about indulgence
And sick debauchery
Note a female kangaroo
It’s a sickness from within
It’s punishment and frustration
And misogyny and sin
