A product of unsound minds

A street packed full of people
Are they like you and I ?
Two legs two eyes presumably
So watching,we must ask why
Are they completely bonkers
Is insanity the cause
There we see a camel
We see it and we pause

Wondering what’s the outcome
And then we understand
The camel is slashed violently
By someone’s evil hand
Off it runs blood gushing
It’s panic we can see
The crowd are in the midst of it
Where else would they be

A bloody bunch of psychopaths
We know, they are everywhere
But this lot Christ I ask myself
For sure so unaware

Are they unintelligent
A feeble minded bunch
Fallible and fatuous
I mean it’s just my hunch
Why do people let this happen
What’s wrong with their heart
This is a sentient being
With feelings that should start

Those people to start thinking
Realising they
are party to a murder
Which will not go away

It’s blood is splashing everywhere
It’s agony must be
Terrible, just watching here
It’s terrorising me
It’s bedlam,for the poor soul
Surrounded by these fools
Clearly raving lunatics
Aren’t there any rules?

To stop this awful failing
In humankind to see
How come nobody stopped this
Complete insanity

It’s not for the faint hearted
To watch this evil stuff
Weakening before our eyes
I have seen enough

Of this vile dark brutality
Those witnessing it, there
Seem perfectly aware of it
Don’t talk to me of prayer
Don’t talk to me of caring
What I see I know
The evil is so out there
And this dreadful wave does grow

Is it because they eat meat
And this is the reason why
They don’t mind seeing it murdered
I mean, it has to die!
Are they so dumbed down now
They forget camels feel pain
They forget that it was created
Like they were it’s so plain

But they just seem so nonchalant
Watching the camel fly
For me and I am sure for most of you
There are tears in your eye

You have that sinking feeling
This soul, you will not forget
It will be present in your dreams
Something to regret
But that crowd appeared to watch it
To experience it’s pain
And some will want to eat it’s meat
To be part of the chain

This now dead lovely creature
Cooked and spiced will be
Soon part of their body
Something we can see
How sick this world is becoming
How numb it’s people are
And the animal earthlings are suffering
And our bodies we too scar

Paying homage to this camel
Suffering it’s pain
And being the first to eat it’s flesh
We have to break that chain
We have to come to terms with grief
It’s grief, it’s family who
Share the same love we share
Or bloody well should do
