Synthetic grass

like everything the natural plant based vegetable fibres do
Feel better and are better when used and made for you
Science when it gets to grips with mimicking what we
Know of mother natures skills, we do it so badly
Take monsanto’s chem grass the artificial stuff
Made of minced up motor tyres it’s kind of off the cuff
Crumb rubber it is known as
When turf bugs come to mind
Tiny balls of rubber that kind of blow your mind

That kind of play with environments
The internal ones that we
Ingest the rest and come in contact
Very tragically
Many goalies now we hear see cancer
In their lives
It seems there’s lot of evidence
And now it seems it drives
Others to begin to count the Numbers
In the field
Benzene carbon black and lead
A fatal team does yield

That’s beginning to
Take it’s toll
Of people playing on this stuff
Who actually do roll
About on it and pick up Turf bugs
That get everywhere
in your ears down your throat
And stuck up in your hair

Chemical coated pellets that cause
Our bodies to
Rebel against the evil
for it seems that’s what they do

The turf boys will be playing down the story
But to me the natural grass it has got to be
Superior to anything that science tries to copy
As once again with reality we see
Profits and a lot of people making it
But at the expense of others in the field
Benzene lead and carbon blacks are frightful to be sure
so why the hell do they have to be concealed?
