Glue traps

Glue traps
A cowardly lingering death
Only a man could create such hell
And wait until their breath
Has petered out through panic
Has broken down through pain
Has stopped of course through heart ache
To never beat again
A little furry bundle is wandering
Here is wandering there
And comes across a sticky patch
That some human thought was fair

His feet are stuck
His legs are stuck
His fur is stuck and he
Is in a desperate situation
More so than he should be
Pulling this way
Pulling that way
Tufts of fur and skin
And blood and sinew even
His mind is in a spin

Desperation follows
His head is stuck fast two
Glue traps
Are a cowardly lingering death
That fact is true

To any human being
Who buys into this way
Of lessening their headache
I want to really say
Don’t buy into this evil
Re count my little rhyme
The agony is truthfully
No way to pass the time
