Coyotes need respect not critter busters

My sisters the coyotes

have to be saved

stand up my sweet souls

we have always braved

all of these man traps

and gas clouds before

and these critter busters

are breaking our law

we’ll take them on

its an over reaction

and there never shall be

any satisfaction

the people around here

are guilty as hell

leaving remnants of food

and feeding us

as well

to the authorities

we are the wild girls and boys

we forage our food

and this so annoys

some on their leather bound chairs

maybe so

but coyotes are indigenous

as well you might know

co-existence is special

let them derive

wildness they add to the

wildness survive

they manage

and really what we all should do

is show them compassion

not misconstrue

the truth of the matter

we need our wild friend

and jumping the gun

with them

now has to end

hiring those killers

is a bad idea

and can only lead

to more fear around here
