Emily and other mothers like her

Emily was a mother

and possibly 4 or 5 times

each time her calf was born though

one of the greatest crimes

was committed against her

kidnap so to say

the farmer came along

of course and took her child away

might have killed it on the spot

or it could have gone to veal

but poor old Emily now  5 years old

what it does reveal

is she is for the chop herself

the slaughterhouse at 3

the captive bolt

what a result

that is going to be

a penetrating bolt will

smash into her brain

that will drive her bonkers

she will never see again

the pain will be colossal

a mother is dispatched

throat cut that’s the filling

another plot is hatched

as vegans we know everything we eat

has not been killed

an honest meal

where life and  where no blood

was ever spilled

no babies murdered

no milk taken

just plant life

that’s all

poor Emily

her life was torment

as all cows  are as a rule

they go through tremendous hardship

and egregious pain

they lose their children

sadly

again and again and again

they cry for weeks on end

but farmers care no not at all

they are insensitive bunch

I have to say

which does appal

me

but then its money and profit

that’s their thing

they even have a gadget

a heavy plastic ring

to stop the baby supping

at the udder such a sin

such an unholy practice

which is why they appear thin

no colostrum for the infant

nothing there at all

probably its one reason

they are smashed against the wall

that way you don’t have to feed them

the milk is stolen fast

and the human tribe can drink it

once again the dye is cast

To be vegan means life is sacred for all
