Its been a great mystery
but its not forsaken
the dictatorship
and the war
it has taken
much from the people
but the animals are
untouched in so many ways
and quietly star
in the great forest opera
that now we can see
the rare cats, the tapirs
the Pangolin’s be
still resident there
in a time warp it seems
where visions held up
as did the great mother’s dreams
the insects the mammals
the birds and the cats
the bears and the eli’s
the monkeys and Bats
the spiders the beetles
the richness we see
the vast secret places
the tranquillity
great tigers who wander
the forests at night
moon bears are mating
in the moon light
mongoose and pangolin
rarities they
apparently share
they great forests today
for 50 long years
whilst Asia erupted
the loggers went in
and of course they corrupted
the palm oil explosions
for corporate gain
and the logging from people
so wholly insane
great expanses of forest
torn down and lost
the oxygen squandered
at such a high cost
so many species murdered
this way
crushed burned and trapped
that’s been the way
But Burma was silent
she slept and denied
but now loggers are there
a new suicide
as trees are sawn down
great trunks
trucked away
the great corporations
and causing dismay
Burma must go
the forests can make
vast sums of money
there is lots of cake
to fill up the coffers
its pillage and rape
and the animal kingdom
from the darkness they gape
out at the human tribe
trucks fires and saws
coming to tear down
to scythe through the laws
of the forest creating
a hell hole of pain
Burma must withstand
their advancement for gain
the scientists were given leave
to explore
and wondrous emotions
were found at its core
vast tracts of life
a great force in our lives
but poachers are ready with their guns
and knives
so lets hope that Burma
has the moral strength
and can stave off these corporates
and go to such length
as to protect its forests
and safeguard it all
from the corporate nonsense
they must build their wall
will they be strong enough
will they believe
its important to protect
the animals
and leave
them their for humanity
or will they just say
its a hunters paradise
and walk away
one hopes they see sense
and listen and learn
what they have now
shows that such concern
for the greater environment
will serve them well
protect and preserve
forest heaven not hell
