Thoughts of a sheep that finds her best friends head

My love I am beside myself
for you are dead and gone
they left your head for me to find
the mortal plain goes on
somehow I must come to terms
not only with your death
but all the emotional squalor
that now comes with every breath

the humans have a way of making
us feel lost for sure
they haven’t realised yet
how we might abhor
they think of us as unfeeling
revealing in them much
clearly they are so arrogant
and becoming out of touch

with the truest reality
for leaving your head here
with a blood trail to where ever
draws to me such fear
the unknown it is out there
and you my dear may be
also in the ether
staring back at me

that out of body experience
you can quantify
this head of yours
left here because
it seems you had to fly
away to the rainbow bridge
beyond the slaughterhouse
to where
you take your immense spirit
and with it stay aware

I found your head and kissed you
knowing I’d never see
I couldn’t believe the horror
that was now confronting me
these farmers are grotesque
they are but slaves
to a corporate state
of unconsciousness which now creates
fear at an alarming rate

the hideousness of seeing
your eyes seemed open wide
the disfigurement of normality
being on the other side
I miss your warm caresses
your brightness and your charm
the landscape is now terrible
its chaotic and never calm

your head is strangely beautiful
those villain’s threw it there
knowing I would find it
knowing it would scare
the living daylights out of me
for that is what they do
they somehow thought it funny
to remind me dear of you

they have that loathsome attitude
that repulsive point of view
its repellent in them actually
it just is what they do
odious is their feeling
vulgar in their mind
I cannot bear to look at them
because they are more than blind

I loved you and I always will
this fact I think you know
the tawdriness of humans
these slaughter men who grow
more savage by the moment
barbarians they be
without any affection
its just hopelessness I see

to do what they have done today
shows the craven hearted guile
reckless and irresponsible
how they could defile
your character, your presence
your vision and your all
by cutting you in pieces
and lobbing your head over their wall

Although very, very difficult to put into words the emotions raised by this barbarism to living beings, you have expressed words for feelings that are imposible to describe for many of us. Thankyou for the sorrow you must have endured while composing this piece.
