The day of reconciliation
is upon us all
South Africa the country
where everyone walks tall
or could if they would only
look up, into the sky
and realise the clouds are there
for everyone and why
freedom is the word that’s now
on everybody’s lips
love and generosity
we have to get to grips
with every day
for every day is shared
by everyone
we have the vision
we have the scope
we have blue skies and sun
the day of reconciliation
it is ours to hold
and Susan what a champion
of the canine tribe
all rolled
into one we see you
broken paws up there
up there in the sky above
for the whole world to share
a warm heart and a lovely soul
that’s Susan our dear friend
who searches right across the world
hopeful just to end
the suffering of animals
for suffering they do
and Susan is so passionate
about all of them too
she drives herself
she fights so hard
she pulls love from her soul
and the animals around the world
that she knows is her goal
to help house the unfortunates
and send them on their way
to forever homes
with forever people
and cast from them dismay
