Karmic accounting is there such a thing

Often you hear it
glibly its said
trotted out ah!
remember the dead
you by your action
created death row
for so many souls
but you didn’t know

you didn’t care
there was profit out there
and really you needed
get in and share
the mortgage to pay
the vacation the bills
that some earthling died
and the blood that it spills
wasn’t your problem
besides someone else
would finish them off
you just ticked the boxes
if they did cough
and splutter and cry
and choke on their blood
that wasn’t your problem
you said with a sigh

you signed the cheques
everyone knew
that you were successful
in what you did do
but it just kind of got to you
before you slept
sometimes you actually
knew that you wept
you kept from others
but deep down inside
you realised honestly
that you had lied

well that is a good thought
a credit to you
for some out there care not
all their life through
they promote it and flout it
without care or woe
and when cancer comes knocking
they sicken and go

no one knows really whether
they felt in the end
that what they were doing
was wrong
did it send any messages
out there
to others who feel
its right to kill animals
and then conceal

the fact to themselves
just how they actually feel
and would it be best
if they improved each meal
by reducing or leaving
out animals who
would be far better off
alive that’s a positive view
worth sharing with others
it makes for a day
where happiness surfaces
out in the bay

engorging the banksters
to me is no base
for Summer land truly
will look in your face
and realise how you accrued
all that wealth
how it was done
with created stealth
and punishment will be forthcoming
a fate
