I witnessed the atrocities (A Sheeps eye view)

What do I see before me
relatives, and I
for some reasoon I am still alive
and they it seems did die
death it seems so peaceful
but such a bloody state
their throats are cut
they have bled out
their eyes they appear shut
open but unseeing
of this there is no doubt
motionless they lay there
just what is it about

the men who did this
where are they
hardbitten oafs are they
lacking all compassion
what is there to say
leaving my friends so close to me
is spiteful to be sure
revengeful very venomous
the grisly truth and more

they were all so gentle
but no clemency was shown
clearly they were tortured
worst than I could have known
their blood is almost everywhere
someone indulged in that
totally inflexible
remorselessly where they’are at
broken, clearly, agony forced their breath away
wuth such dire desolation
they have been made to pay

and now I am observing
the murder of my friends
in honesty the fear factors
I have to say it sends
shivers down my back right now
and evil in my heart
will I join them sooner
just dead meat on some cart
its just too much to hope for
that I could get away
that I could somehow
reach my field
and in the sunshine play

Oh! I can hear them coming
possibly for me
they drag away that cart
the bodies moving and I be
aware that I am going
a knife thrust under me
and all my blood flies upwards
even I can see
my own blood my own life force
spurting out of me
those scum bags are so reckless
now we all are history
