Stray dogs ( need to be noticed)

Stray dogs need to be noticed
they are a forgotten tribe
people put them out and they
somehow lose their vibe
put a balloon on a string
on their collar and let
the world at large
begin to see
what is a hefty debt
they are after all a heart
and a soul with eyes
a mind that’s feels the loneliness
that strays all realise
but often they are invisible
the human switches down
we cannot feel their sadness
as we all, walk about town
