Had Luna come here
sooner
her comrades may not have been
singled out and threatened
so much
for now their scene
is ravaged by the “haters”
the dead from the neck up
who
would have us all believe that
wolves are evil through and through
as the soft mists fall upon us
and on forest we all love
she sees through all the darkness
she watches from above
guides us and protects us
with justice and with peace
if Luna had come sooner
may be to release
us from the haters clutches
otherwise we know
hunted down and lured we’d be
and just not in the flow
the moon its golden energy
creates our world of joy
when we sing into the heavens
our howling we employ
if Luna had come sooner
with our future she would plea
she would give us back our freedom
to hunt and just to see
beyond the sight of humans
beyond the haters who
would lets us roam
forever
where the skies are always blue
