A Hunter father kneels down beside his son with dozens of wild animals dead hanging up behind them

They grow up in the West
in the place they know best
a gun toting father
an interested son
the father goes shooting
what does the kid do
he looks up to his dad
so he wants a gun
what does the mum
think
we don’t hear that story
personally I think
she would be aggrieved
but the father’s a hunter
he makes the decisions
and look at the carnage
can it believed
just one lousy hunter
can bring down so many
imagine those families
who have lost a soul
its a vital imbalance
we see it, we feel it
and hunters reveal it
that arrogant role
they’ve taken
their son will grow up
like the father
and carry on killing
and maiming for he
is getting his training
and therefore attaining
the spirit to hunt
indefinitely
