1000 dogs a day are shipped through Thailand for butchering

Inhumanity and barbarity
its all there in one glance
a tangle of sweet bodies
if we are to advance
as a species we must
look hard at the wondrous canine tribe
just know the waste of energy
that such action does describe

a net that holds a mangle of
of individual souls
clearly waiting
and wondering
what the human trolls
are doing in the background
uneasy in their mind
some have got some
broken iimbs
and other too now find

this thought of being
treated
so unnaturally so sad
the feeling of resentment
must surface and just add
another vile dimension
to the stress that each does feel
1000 dogs now every
day in these loads
becomes a meal

butchered on the street
with assorted rusty blades
that tear the skin
bashed with bloodied hammers
how can one begin
to understand this logic
the pity that some feel
to see this awful tangle
knowing its somebody’s meal

we have to open up our hearts
and shout it out the door
that dogs are being stolen
that dogs are being killed
that dogs are being eaten
and their blood is being spilled
