Hunters are murdering our wildlife

130 million
innocent souls
shot dead
if that’s not
a holocaust
to me
its abject dread

all of them
were innocent
all of them
born where
they were
f*****g murdered
to the
brave bold hunters
prayer

most of them probably
now praying
may be they
realise their sin
will come and get them
all some day

no one can take
on the natural world
as these bastards have done
and slaughter pure creation
just for their own warped fun

and arn’t they brave?
all camouflage
rifles, and the like
waiting in some ambush
for something
sweet to hike

that is
when they shoot them
as they forage
for their food
an arrow hits
them somewhere
or a bullet
its so crude

and so vile to kill
an animal
but many die
a death
that’s slow and agonizing
as alone they fight
for breath

as their rich red
blood spills
out of them
all their memories
and woe
their families in the background
somewhere
yea they get to know

hunters on their websites
kneel beside the dead
they were not sick animals
strong but they were led
up the garden path
and shot to pieces
and they dare to say
they are, helping the environment
all the blooming way

their ignorance is stunning
their arrogance astounds
the guns shops they are laughing
and their bankers, well it sounds
like happiness personified
this killing business STINKS
Governments allow it
of course the missing links

are at it Kings and Queens
everywhere today
have no respect for animals
its humanities decay
a few of us are fighting
in every way, we can
to show the universe out there
that some now have a plan
to save the animal earthlings
and treat them as our friends
not eat them, and not wear them
and not exploit them for our own ends
