A tangle of babies
a mangle of corpses
innocent calves
thrown onto a heap
this they call farming
I call it harming
but they get away with it
for life is cheap
a cow has a baby
its male
no one wants it
its comes out of their pocket
and into the bin
this a live soul
a creature, god made it
its intricate life form
it is, its a sin
But commerce steps in
the guy with the red horns
backed by his bankers
more red horns on show
then there’s the superstores
they work with margins
then there’s joe public
on prices, they go
so the poor litte calf
is tossed into a maelstrom
of our making
and he ends up in a bin
maybe for pet food
that is his future
ungodly
I think so
and one hell of a sin
