Remembering “Rock Star” the Yellowstone wolf

“Rock Star” had to bite
the dust
for hunters with their
cut and thrust
have no respect for
living souls
no respect at all
its shoot
at everything they see
life means nothing
actually
sacred creation
an anomaly
their blind with guns
they cannot see
passed their nose
in many ways
suffering from that sick
malaise
to kill just any creatures, they
clap their eyes on
come what may
but far from instant is a death
from the impact till the dying breath
and the loved one’s who will be in tow
and the hunter yes that so and so!
a vile tormentor he will shoot
down the wild one and may scoot
often leaving her to die
in agony, though God knows why?
a slow and lingering passing
her loves and hates on hold
as she bleeds out in true agony
often in the cold
Rock Star went a bit like this
a heroine was she
loved by all the scientists
but the hunter man could see
that she was live and courageous
she existed, so that he
could take her out without a doubt
and high five happily
I question all the hunting men
who do frequent these parts
as to why they slaughter as they do
and are seen by most, as farts
