Morgan

Morgan has a human name
and is caught up
in the human game
and will probably never
be the same
for Morgan is wild
and not tame

the ocean is the place
where he
can find his true fishmanity
its where he knows
its where he cares
its part of the harvest
that he shares

but he got caught up
in our world
a wondrous sprite
somehow was hurled
into the complex
critical state
where humans
just proliferate

Laws and profit
and complexity
imprisoned
and sacrificed for glee
bloody well
given a human name
and knew
he would never feel the same

a tug of war
from opposing sides
one for his freedom
the other hides
the true philosophy
to make some dosh
a corporate giant
and it doesn’t wash

but the great judiciary
were on the case
protecting the
great human race
the corporate world
control the scene
in their orca suits
they were far from green

and in Amsterdam
thought to be free
thinkers, stinkers
still they be
Morgan given a human name
and caught up in a human game
realised, and he could see
that in a corporate world
no one’s free

off to the canine tribal place
the Canary sounding
ugly face
the concrete tanks
and the fishy stew
till Morgan decides what he
will do
die a death in a private way
with a sacrifice
on his chosen day

Dear Rex what a beautiful sad and flowing poem about Morgan and the corporate stinking giants, your wording on this one is simply perfect, I hope it goes viral, it should do and we should not give up the good fight and still continue to fight and campaign for Morgans freedom again. Why should he be destined to die alone and bewildered in his septic tank? Unimaginable.
