Farm animals deserve much better

Farm animals
get a pasting
from some
Farmers we see
abject cruelty and torture
and why?
it should not be
Dairy Farm brutality
I have seen it all before
The pitch fork and the hammer
people, who break every law

They take out their frustration
on the innocent calves, until
you hear them snort
and sigh
and beg to die
as their blood they spill
Imagine it, cowardly know all’s
such farmers they should be
in some dark cell somewhere
let’s share depravity

let’s get some
loony to belt them
let them feel that pain
mental, physical
terrible
again and again and again
and boasting look how big I am
a sick violent refrain
I kick them and I kick them
they don’t moan
they feel no pain

of course,
they feel each moment
they are more sensitive than man
but they take it and they fake it
hopeful for a ban
no soul needs this torture
and no soul needs to make
another cry in purgatory
to prove they are awake

in every state of America
we must make laws that say
any one who does these things
to farm animals, will pay
will be chucked into, some slammer
and we sling away the key
and stamp on them till they scream out

I was wrong and I’m so sorry!
put their faces on the box
let the people see
the sort of behaviour that
the food they eat, is subjected to daily
and to realise that energy that mayhem
it will stay
locked up in the meat they eat
forever and a day
