Anthony (a little ghost in Greece)

Anthony died
poor soul
few would weep
he was put out
to fend for himself
and did reap
slept rough in the streets
of Greece the poor soul
diseased eating rough
no one to console
badgered by cars
people threatening fear
scolding him
gruffly
go get out of here!
a constant barrage
of horrid remarks
and when he keeled over
he had all the marks
of someone neglected
its awful to think
that most days
he neither did eat
or did drink
he closed his tired eyes
and his heart stopped as well
he went off to Heaven
leaving this Hell
