They have named me Morgan I am an Orca female

You’ve given me the name of Morgan
I am, a female actually,
plucked out of the ocean
in fact the Wedden Sea
and tossed into a soupy tank
where I should never be
fed on dead fish
for me, its hell
and more so every day
no plants
no air
to speak of
no friends
and along the way
no family
all I do is swim around
this sky blue tank
until I just get giddy
its dirty, and its rank
and they hope to get me pregnant
artifically
money, money, money, dollars bills
they see
my pod, my precious family
our inter relating hours
they do not care a monkeys
they have now all my powers
my family must be grieving
they must be for I too
am worrying about my mother
and my brothers
for they do
love me, and I love them
and we play about all day
we’re still learning about
the wisdom
mothers teaches and she does say
so many wondrous things to us
as we swim along
and to split us up as they have done
well of course its very wrong
they must now think, that I am dead
or imprisoned and my ma
will be pining for me
she always does
no matter where we are
good mothers really everywhere
worry for their off spring
and my mother is no exception
when together, we all sing
round and round and round and round
its pretty boring stuff
life can get on top of you
in here, its really rough
no plants the plants
have medicinal qualities, and we
can get relief from some of them
but here its not to be
just chlorinated mayhem
and the clamour of the crowd
the rowdy raucous ignorant souls
its like a massive shroud
that hangs over the tank, I’m in
its a noisy frightening mob
and I have to pretend I’m happy
doing tricks that really rob
me of my sensibility
I have wisdom after all
and these cretins who believe
themselves intelligent, I fall
about sometimes just laughing at the
little they do know
about all of us Orca’s
and how we live and grow
2 years of this great boredom
and sorrow has led me
to wonder whether death
would really prove, in fact happy
I would not be put on the spot
and expected to perform
in a soup of chlorinated blue
thats exceptionally warm
Humankind there’s none of it
the people that feed me
they are a bunch of uncaring
thoughtless ignorant to the degree
of what they do not know about us
well its hard to realise
they pluck us from our habitat
and cry, on our demise

To those of you the sensitives
helping us to fight
through the courts
you are in my thoughts
for you can see the light
the bureaucratic presence
that hangs across our path
and promises so very much but
all we see is the wrath
is the evil and the uncompromising
suggestions of those few
who capture us for money
and that is all they do
