Not just any Mannequin but “Alice” in person

I don’t need eyes to see you
I sense you all the while
My sequined dress
I have to stress
It cost a pretty pile
But it so clings, to my body
And when I walk, I know
That some men will be watching
It don’t matter, where I go
They seldom make it obvious
But I can feel their gaze
I have no use for cosmetics
For there are so many ways
Of beguiling and bewitching
And I just know them all
Sitting in this Clothes shop
in Lower Kings Road
I call
the shots, I have to tell you
For Alice that’s my name
I love the place
I think its ace
whatever others claim
And the women working with
me
The real one with the hair
so many curls
so many whirls
that hair of her’s is rare
Its rare and she’s is with it
She lets me sit all day
perched up in those books of her’s
and, I get some pay
I know I’m really lucky
And I count my lucky stars
I could be in some strip joint
or one of those raunchy bars
But instead I have this lovely job
Its vintage I will say
Its the nicest little shop there is
And I sit here every day.

Thank you Rex for naming & appreciating Alice. She is indeed as unique as our little shop. Bless you for noticing x

I walked passed to go to the dentist I had an accident yesterday I was carrying a pen in my mouth and opened a door and the pen was forced into my teeth breaking 2 of them and cutting my tongue so I had to have some re building work done today because I am speaking tonight but it was all done with out any injections which is what I do no injections no painkillers no x-rays.
and saw lovely Alice just sitting there peacefully observing the posers walking by. I thought now she is someone special and then I saw you and I knew a poem was coming and fast, glad you liked it

My family is hanvig lots of fun learning the forms in this book. Easy to understand and any child who can read and write can do it. This book helped me interest my children in writing, and sometimes I find them doing it on their own now!
