A plea on behalf of a baby Orangutan whose mother was killed in Sabah by Palm Oil workers

You would be
traumatized
of course,
I am traumatized
they killed my mother
and she loved me so
she talked to me each day
she had so much wisdom
her milk was so sweet
and she’s had to go
but those people beat
her they came from
Palm Oil Plantations, and they
killed her, in front of me
the other day
left me beside the road
shaking like hell
they didn’t care
that I had, well, fell
off the tree, I was left to die
these men were fiends
but I don’t know why
we’re from the forest
it is our place
the OIL Palm operatives
are a disgrace
they are killing Orangutans
and others too
crushing and treading
on small mammals who
corporate goons should be
taken away
and locked up
for otherwise
there is no way
this land of Sabah
can stand any more
Palm oil creates
a blackness
on the floor
now littered with corpses
of jungle souls
killed by what are
the lack of controls
its not policed
they can do what they will
poison us, beat us
and of course kill
