Despair

Despair comes to us all
My friend. it does come to us all
Those of us who listen when
the little primates call
we hear them in the forest
tuned to how they feel
we know how much they need us
and that need, is so real

Despair we do despair
at how we’re treated
Sometimes we regret
the path we tread
But Joachim let me tell you
from the bottom of my heart
when we feel we’ve reached
that watershed

its then,that we must
realise and honour
the work, all that we’ve done
it truly will
make a difference to those
wild emaciated souls
who apparently cannot
climb up the hill

You and I can help them
we can help them
You have got that lightness
in your eyes
be positive its going to
work out wonderfully
and the reason is you are
one of the good guys
