that’s every year
all their blood spilled
Brown Bears and Black bears
both get mown down
The brown one’s are dyed
and the black ones
You frown!
all of them Canadian
all hit the dust
PETA is right
its fills me with disgust
besides I am sure
these poor sentries must be
tired and frustrated
ceremonially
with bear numbers dwindling
I bet, they feel
That in this day and age
real bear skins the deal
reveals an uncaring
dispassionate view
All these Bears slaughtered
and it will, cont-in-ue
Ricky Gervais and others besides
Have made the fact known
and now it all rides
on the Queen or some other
high up, so their fate
is now in the hands
of the good and the great
For what good it will do
Let me say to the Queen
and her people the Bears
have a right to be seen
Not trapped or shot dead
or stripped of their fur
but allowed to be free
like they, always were
